Project Afternight Guides

This hub is the map for every how to we keep for Project: Afternight. If you just landed on the island, do not open Insane, do not paste a fake code, and do not argue in a 4v4. Walk the list below in order.

First hour

Start with Getting Started (overworld, speakers, song UI, shop preview) and How to Play (judgements, audio, difficulty ladder). Then lock controls so WASD versus arrows is a choice, not a panic.

Those three pages replace the “I spawned and walked into the ocean” sessions. They also link the Chaotix launch walkthrough in the middle of Getting Started so you can see the 2024 public client and still apply it to Eye of Corruption.

Make the HUD yours

PAFN is famous for a settings tree that looks like Psych Engine spilled into Roblox. Settings covers strumlines, note speed, hitsounds, accessibility (flashing lights — the Roblox page warns about them), keybinds, bots, modifiers, and Bloxstrap. Keybinds goes deeper on 4K through 18K. Modifiers lists Fade In/Out, Inverse Notes, and the badge combos.

If charts feel late, you do not need a script. You need note speed and a hitsound. Read settings before autoplay.

Rewards without codes

There is no working promo list. Cosmetics drop from charts. Shop unlocks is the UI tour; how rewards work is the 70% / 1x rule; fake codes is the search-intercept. Custom uploads live on custom icons. Tags live on tags.

Versus and accuracy

Versus modes covers 1v1, 2v2, 4v4, leaving a stage, song picks, and the Eye of Corruption scoring rebalance. Accuracy and FC is the grind page for Sick windows, combo breaks, and the 50 unique FCs that unlock icon uploads. Use the song tier list so you are not Full Combo-ing a 16-key as your third chart. Phone players should start on mobile instead of copying a desktop note speed.

How this hub stays useful

Each guide is one job. We do not paste the same 400-word outro on every page. When Eye of Corruption or the next tab drop lands, the updates hub gets the patch shape, and these guides get the mechanical change (new modifier, new shop rule, new key mode).

If a YouTube video already explains the thing, we embed one real video in the middle of that guide — never a fake ID, never three facades at the bottom. Settings uses Chaotix’s long options tour. Getting Started uses the launch overview. How to Play uses a short client tutorial. Shop uses the launch cosmetics dump.

Suggested path for returning players

If you last played before Classic Resurrections, skim that update for the UI rework, then settings (note recoloring, new shop search). If you last played before Eye of Corruption, start on the Eye of Corruption page and then check whether your binds still hold in controls.

New language tabs and collabs (Blox Cards, and whatever Dawndreamer teases on X) will show up under mods and updates. Guides stay focused on how you press buttons and how you get the locker item.

When you finish this hub, you should know which child page to open next. If you do not, you want Getting Started.
