Unlock the Project Afternight Shop
Search, preview, beat the listed chart, equip blue for you and orange for the bot.
The shop is why Project: Afternight feels different from Funky Friday. There is no point sink and no Robux pass. You play the song the item belongs to. This page is the UI and the hunting pattern. The numeric rules sit on how rewards work. Codes do not fill empty rows — codes hub.
What the shop holds
- Animations — character bodies and event/cutscene anims during a chart.
- Emotes — island / speaker idles.
- Noteskins — the arrows you hit.
- Notesplashes — hit sparks.
- Icon packs — health-bar faces, Psych-style.
- Tags — nameplate labels, often the hardest song of a tab.
- Note colors — hue shift added in Classic Resurrections (skips monochrome skins).
Search exists. Use it. Typing “MX” is faster than scrolling a year of updates.
How to read a row
Each row shows the author, whether it has alt animations or event animations, and whether you own it. Locked rows list the song or tab. Launch coverage still uses a clean example: Skid and Pump from Spookeez or South at 70% / 1x with modcharts and special notes on. Most rows copy that checklist. A few demand a named difficulty or a specific chart (Libitina-style noteskins, some Shaggy mania anims).
Blue = equipped on you. Orange = equipped on the bot/opponent. You can mirror the opponent. Preview plays in the shop; some event anims only appear if you flip preview side. Developer comments during Madness Hits coverage called this out for Animdude-style packs.
Fingers and extra props can be toggled off on some rigs (Classic Resurrections mentioned props/required-props). If a model looks busy, that toggle is why.
A hunt that works
- Decide the look (a character, a noteskin, a tag).
- Search the shop, read the requirement out loud so you do not farm the wrong tab.
- Set difficulty to the listed one, rate to 1x or higher, modcharts on.
- Play solo or versus — solo is calmer. Versus if you insist.
- Watch for the bottom toast. No toast means you missed a rule, not that the shop is broken.
Default-unlocked packs exist for mods that are not in the build yet. They can lock when the tab arrives. Do not be surprised if a free row disappears after a content drop — check updates.
Tags versus animations
Tags usually want a signature pass: hardest song, specific difficulty, or a Full Combo. They are flavour, not a paywall. Examples from Funkipedia-style documentation: Club Member (Doki Doki), Escapist (Piggy), Prime (ULTRAKILL name suffix). The dedicated list is tags.
Custom icon uploads are not a shop purchase. They want 50 unique FCs. Guide: custom icons.
Cross-game extras
The Blox Cards collab added a two-way badge: FC a Blox Cards OST song here for a unique card there, and grab their badge for shop extras here. When a collab is live it will be on the updates hub, not in a fake code table.
What the launch video still teaches
The embedded video is a dump of launch animations, noteskins, splashes, and tags. The catalogue is now much larger (Madness Hits, Classic Resurrections, Eye of Corruption). Watch it for how preview and categories feel, then use in-game search for the current roster. Chaotix later recorded update-specific shop videos; we only embed one file per page.
If you are unlocking to flex in versus, remember the other player sees your anims. Equip something you can still read notes through. Heavy event animations plus camera movement is how you miss a jump you practiced. Settings will turn the camera down; the shop will not save you from your own showcase.
When a row stays locked after a clean pass, screenshot the result screen (rate, accuracy, modifiers) and compare it to the tooltip. Then read how rewards work again before you assume a script will farm it faster.
