Project Afternight Eye of Corruption Update

Eye of Corruption is the label on the live Roblox experience as of late August 2026. The place title reads [EYE OF CORRUPTION] Project: Afternight. Official event copy (what actually shipped)

The Roblox event Eye of Corruption Update ran with the subtitle Sorry to keep you waiting. Studio copy, not a comment section, lists:

• A visual overhaul pass on Pibby: Apocalypse, VS. Shaggy: Mystery Inc. Mix, Super Funkin’ Galaxy, no_moon.jar OST, and more.
• Over 600 new songs across several difficulties.
• Over 400 new shop cosmetics.
• Massive optimizations — the client should run better on the same hardware.
• A scoring rebalance aimed at fairer PvP and higher highscores.
• A pile of bug fixes.

That is the list to trust. Trailer comments naming San Francisco, Mysterious Wind, Jarona, Friday Night Foundation, or Dustin are still search queries, not a tracklist, until the tab exists in-client.

The live title prefix [EYE OF CORRUPTION] and the Finn-adjacent glitch art match the gallery still this wiki uses as a header. Flashing lights, shakes, and jumpscares remain in the Roblox warning. Corruption aesthetics usually mean more strobe, not less. Settings accessibility first, especially before Pibby.

What the overhauls mean in practice

Visual overhauls are not always recharts. A tab you FCed last year might look new and play the same, or it might hide notes behind a denser event animation. Play Easy once on each named overhaul before you queue it in versus. Shop rows tied to those tabs may have new anims — search Pibby, Shaggy, Galaxy, and no_moon after you rejoin. Shop unlocks.

The scoring rebalance is the PvP sentence that matters. If your muscle memory says “this accuracy used to win,” it might not. Treat the first week after the drop as a calibration week: solo a file you already know, read the new result screen, then 1v1. Details sit with versus modes and accuracy and FC.

Six hundred new songs is a trap if you open them in a random 4v4. Use the song tier list as a filter. New does not mean readable.

First session on the new drop

1. Rejoin the Roblox place so you are not on a stale server.
2. Check that 4K binds still exist. Controls.
3. Pull flashes and shake down before you sit.
4. Solo a new tab on Easy. Do not 4v4 a jumpscare file as your welcome back. Versus.
5. Search the shop for new animation names. Requirements should still follow 70% / 1x / modcharts unless a tooltip says otherwise. How rewards work.
6. If a script you used last month nils, stop. Engine drops break getgc first. Autoplay.

What probably did not change

Play-to-unlock economy. No verified promo codes. Codes hub. Custom icon gate still looks like 50 unique FCs. Tags still come from signature songs. Desktop is still the intended setup. Those through-lines have survived launch, Madness Hits, and Classic Resurrections. Eye of Corruption is a content skin on the same engine until proven otherwise.

Performance

New event animations plus a full island plus 40 players is a frame-time spike. Notesplashes off, camera movement off, Bloxstrap FPS up if you use it. If the new backgrounds are particle-heavy, extras in settings exist for you.

How this page will grow

When we can verify a tab name, a shop rule change, or a new modifier, it goes here. Until then, Discord (discord.gg/afternight) and @dawndreamstudio are faster than a fan wiki pretending it datamined the OST. Discord guide.

Unconfirmed names in trailer comments are useful as search queries, not as facts. Type those names in the in-game search. If a tab exists, play Easy. If it does not, the comment was a hope. Repeat after the next hotfix. That is faster than refreshing a fake codes table.

The official gallery stills (corrupted Finn-adjacent night art, glitch blocks, speaker stages) are the tone. Expect event animations that cover notes. Equip a readable body for your first clears, then showcase later. Mods hub.
