Project Afternight Tier Lists
Song ladders and mod picks so you stop opening 18-key as your third chart.
A tier list for Project: Afternight is not a fighting-game roster. It is a queue order. With nearly 4,000 songs, the wrong tab wastes an evening and unlocks nothing you wanted. This hub splits the problem in two: song difficulty and which mods to play. If you arrived from Funky Friday, read the PAFN vs Funky Friday page before you hunt a points shop that does not exist here.
How we rank (and how we do not)
We rank for a returning FNF player on desktop, not for a seven-finger mania specialist and not for a first-time Roblox kid on a phone. Easy in PAFN is still a rhythm chart. Insane plus a modchart is a different game.
We do not rank cosmetics by “aura.” Shop flex is subjective. If you want a specific animation, the shop tooltip beats any S-tier argument — shop unlocks.
We do not copy a YouTuber’s joke list as gospel. Death Skeleton PFC clips and 18-key showcases are entertainment. They are evidence that a file is hard, not that you should start there.
Song tiers in one paragraph
S / learning files: original FNF Tutorial and Week 1–3 Easy/Normal, straightforward mid-BPM funk. A / real practice: Week 6–7, well-charted mid-diff mods, readable OSTs. B / check your binds: Hard versions of popular tabs, light modcharts. C / project charts: Mario’s Madness spikes, 17 Bucks bursts, high-BPM Camellia-style files. D / mania and gimmick: 8K–18K, God Mode Shaggy, stacked modifiers, horror jumpscare charts you should not play at 2 a.m. with flashes on. Full table: song tier list.
Mod tiers in one paragraph
Play accuracy ports if you care about FNF authenticity (the reason PAFN exists versus Funky Friday). Play OST tabs if you want music without a story week. Play collab / original tabs (Dawnbreaker, Blox Cards OST, Eye of Corruption additions) if you want what this client uniquely has. Avoid starting in a gore/horror tab until settings accessibility is set. Full write-up: mods tier list. Character-level notes sit under mods & characters.
Using a tier list with the rest of the wiki
- New: Getting Started then S-tier songs.
- Shop hunting: find the row, then see which tier that requirement sits in before you promise a 70% tonight.
- FC hunting: accuracy and FC plus A-tier files, not D-tier clips.
- Versus: pick A/B unless the lobby agreed to suffer. Versus modes.
Updates break lists
Eye of Corruption, Classic Resurrections, Madness Hits, and the Blox Cards collab all injected tabs. A file that was C-tier on an old chart can be A-tier after a rechart. If a patch landed this week, skim updates before you trust last year’s ranking.
This hub is a signpost. Open the child page that matches the question you actually typed: “what song should I play” versus “what mod is worth my time.”
