Project Afternight Mods and Characters
Tabs, animations, and nameplates — the roster is the shop plus the song list.
Other wikis call this the Players hub. In Project: Afternight the “players” are FNF characters, original rigs, and the tabs they live in. You do not unlock a fighter. You unlock an animation pack by beating that character’s song. Start here, then open custom icons and tags.
How a tab relates to a character
A tab is a category in the song UI (Friday Night Funkin, Mario’s Madness, 17 Bucks, ULTRAKILL OST, Eye of Corruption additions, Misc. FNF, Misc. Other…). A character is a shop animation that usually names the song or tab it came from. Event animations are cutscene-like extras on some packs. Alt animations swap on cues. Preview side matters — some events only play from one side of the shop preview.
Funkipedia maintains a gigantic playable-mods list that is often tagged outdated. Believe in-game search after a patch. The embedded Madness Hits video in the middle of this page is a snapshot of how much animation work a single update can drop; Classic Resurrections and Eye of Corruption added more after it.
Families you will actually queue
- Base FNF — Boyfriend, Girlfriend, Daddy Dearest, Spooky kids, monsters, Pico, Tankman. Tutorial energy. Getting Started.
- Accuracy ports — the reason PAFN exists. If the PC mod had a week, PAFN tries to ship the week.
- OSTs — music without a full story cast. Still have shop noteskins.
- Roblox / original — 1x1x1x1 packs, Herobrine-style rips, Afternight originals, collab characters.
- Horror / EXE — flashes on by default. Settings first.
A letter-grade of tabs is on the mods tier list. Difficulty of individual files is on the song tier list.
Equipping a look
Shop → search name → beat requirement → equip blue (you) and optionally orange (bot). Shop unlocks. Noteskins change the arrows; they are as much “your character” as the body. Tags change the nameplate. Icons change the health bar. You can mix a ULTRAKILL noteskin with a Doki body if you want to be confusing. The engine will allow it.
Custom icon uploads are the only “create a character” tool, and they want 50 unique FCs. Not Robux. Not a code.
Credits and legal noise
The Roblox description credits The Funkin’ Crew and in-game mod authors. It also lists brands PAFN is not associated with (SEGA, Konami, Behaviour, Ghost Ship, Steel Wool, Ubisoft, Epic, EA, Capcom, Project Moon, and more). That paragraph exists because the song list is a crossover dump. This wiki is unofficial too — links.
How to find a character after a patch
- Open shop search.
- If missing, open the tab list and look for a rename (Misc. splits happened before).
- Check Eye of Corruption or the updates hub.
- Ask Discord, not a fake codes comment section.
We will not paste 400 names. That table would be wrong next month and would fail every quality check that hates boilerplate. Use the live client as the roster. Use this hub as the rules of the roster.
If you came here looking for a Roblox username leaderboard, PAFN does not run a global ranked ladder the way a fighting game does. Your “main” is the animation you equipped and the FC count you can prove.
